​​After a hugely successful summer here in 2025, we’re delighted to say The Merry Mare is now a permanent partnership with Little Lodge Farm.

Born from long summer evenings, happy riders, and well-earned post-ride drinks, The Merry Mare has quickly become a favourite gathering spot for our guests. What started as a seasonal pop-up has grown into a full bar and food offering, adding even more comfort and character to your stay with us.

The Merry Mare offers a full bar service alongside a delicious, carefully curated menu, perfect for relaxed lunches, hearty evening meals, and celebratory drinks after a day exploring the forest. Whether you’re staying in one of our lodges, camping with your horse, or simply soaking up the atmosphere, the bar provides a welcoming space to unwind.
